You will never feel more unfulfilled than when sitting in front of a screen, losing hours of brain matter; being attached to a social media platform, doomscrolling, and anything that has to do with “vegging” while being on screens.

It is anti-human to do any of that.

It also destroys purpose.

This is why I wrote a book on rest.

One of the wildest things out of last year, among many wild things, was that I did deeper thinking than I’ve ever done my whole life.

Even though my brain shut down by 80%. I couldn’t see or think clearly some days…

All I could do for weeks at a time was stare at the trees and the mountains.

I had to learn how to stare death in the face and not fear it, and not give in to it.

(Nothing in my life I ever face will be harder than that.)

And I was led, divinely, to topics I would never have studied on my own.

I sat and pondered slowly for hours and hours and hours while the kids were at school and with the nanny.

From the depths come the ability to stand on the mountain peaks.

And that is the goodness of God in the valley of the shadow.

He redeems the greatest pain into the greatest redemption story.

Our AI business made $250k last month.

This is a business running at 50% profit.

I did less than 5 hours of work per day, except for the two days I ran a mastermind with my friends Matt & BotBuilders — and it was the best, most purpose filled 9 hr days I have ever done.

I got to actually install my own system for everyone there…

And allow them to run.

When I look at my day to day, it’s pretty wild…

I have nothing to “deliver.” 🤯 No hustle. No rush. No grind I have to get back to.

And best of all — my mind is at rest.

Because the hustle culture has been weeded out. Along with the thought you have to work 24/7 at a desk the rest of your life to achieve that purpose. I have the greatest reach, impact, and purpose I’ve ever walked in. I don’t take it for granted. I wake up thanking God every single day.

My life is full of — life.

Yesterday, I did bodywork on trigger points, an hour of exercise, saw my chiropractor, and went to a friend’s.

In two days, I fly out to the San Diego coast for four days of cold-pressed juices, fresh market fruit you can only get in California, and a 70 degree beach. (Brrrr. Still. 😍)

No meetings.

Nothing to hustle on.

The business will keep running.

Growing.

Thriving.

This Is Living.

I don’t share this to brag.
